If so, consider joining the team at Temple Menorah, a vibrant Reform Jewish community in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Camp Menorah, the synagogue’s day camp, has a thirty-year foundation upon which we are looking to build. Summer2024 is primed to be the season during which our camp is invigorated with the spirit of a kehillah kedoshah, a community where everyone is welcome and valued, where Judaism comes to life in fun and engaging ways and where everyone flourishes – campers and staff members alike.

We're looking for people who want to have FUN this summer to join our staff. New hires will work with camp veterans to continue to build our program. Camp Menorah runs for 8 weeks, from late-June through mid-August 2024, plus a week of staff training in the middle of June. We're looking for group counselors who will be responsible for designing and running activities for a particular group of campers as well as contributing to the overall culture of camp and keeping campers safe and happy. These positions will begin in mid-June and end on August 9.

We are also looking for a Site Director to oversee day-to-day operations at camp - from programs and activities to morning circle and all-camp programs to field trips and special events. The Site Director will be supported throughout the summer by our Educator and other Temple staff. Though this position is full-time starting in mid-June, the planning and marketing components of this position will begin with flexible hours, immediately.

We are also offering additional compensation for any staff member who can play guitar and serve as camp songleader.
